One of the things that you can't help but notice is that every thing in modern communications is a link, a portal to somewhere else.Additionally everyplace has become a point of arrival from somewhere else. "look at this", "click me", "come over here", "nothing to see here, move along!"
Everything is crying out for attention beckoning us to be anywhere but here. When a media is not defined by "pushing" or "pulling" but more of a revolving door, resting is almost discouraged. One can almost become nostalgic for the present, because it is always being challenged.
