Courage is fire, and bullying is smoke.

It seems like bullying is the new black and every day more and more politicians are wanting to get in on the new “civility” and “decorum” that Mayor Morris has brought to our town.

After raising his middle finger Abel LeBlanc, a member of the NB legislature,  caught up in rage exclaimed:

“Don’t ever laugh at me. Yes, I gave you that. And I’ll give you that again. And I’ll give you this if you want to go outside. You’re a punk!”

Check it out:

Jim Rohn said of leadership and bullying:

“The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.”

After my recent incident with our Mayor I got to wondering if bullies like LeBlanc and Morris are hard wired with heightened levels of insecurity or if they have to work at it.

If it’s the latter I would be surprised to see a copy of this Nintendo Wii game on our our Mayor’s coffee table:

The more I think about it the more I think that there may be a great enough need for a support group or those of us in Aurora that are antagonized,  intimidated and treated with downright hostility by her Worship.

This may include current and past members of town staff, councilors, business owners and citizens.

Oliver Wendell Holmes had great advise when he said :

“Do not be bullied out of your common sense by the specialist; two to one, he is a pedant”
