you’re so vain, you probably think this town is about you, don’t you?

I've spent the last 4 years living in the "mayor's" town of Aurora.

If you live here too you have no doubt noticed that instead of community or charity focused events we've had the "mayor's" corn roast, the "mayor's" prayer breakfast, the "mayor's" blood drive, the "mayor's" anti-litter day, if the mayor farts there is sure to be a parade scheduled to commemorate it.

With each passing day our Mayor bears more resemblance to Brampton's mayor Susan Fennell.

Ms. Fennel was recently exposed in the Toronto star as making a point of a grand entrance at the golf tournament: She has been flown in on a helicopter, arrived atop a Zamboni and had a police escort.  Fennell denies that city resources or staff have ever been used for fundraising events without reimbursement.

Yeah right!

You can read more about her here:–brampton-mayor-s-private-community-fund-not-registered?bn=1

She's like Phyllis' long lost sister, and this sisterhood better get their traveling pants on because the voters in each municipality are about to send them packing.

Our Mayor even made some references to security precautions she is taking, I understand that bulletproof glass was installed in her office at some point.  Bullet-proof glass?  Do our MPs or MPPs office have bulletproof glass?  Does the Premier of Ontario?
This lady has clearly gone insane.  She doesn't need bulletproof glass, she needs a straight jacket.

She failed to submit a candidate bio to the Sports Aurora All Candidates Meeting because, as I understand, she was paranoid that another candidate might scoop or copy her entry.

Phyllis must enjoy hearing the sound of her own voice, as she is the culprit for the long council meetings taking every opportunity after someone has spoken to "clarify" and re-state the points so that they are more inline with her views.

It was Dwight D. Eisenhower who pointed out that "You don't lead by hitting people over the head – that's assault, not leadership."

And it is that leadership that we so desperately need returned to us so we can begin healing from the relentless assault of the last 4 years.

  1. Wow! Evilena can actually SMILE!
Haven’t seen that in four years.
At council she usually looks like she stepped in something.

    Good posts BTW.

Watts on your mind?
