“If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.”

Delivered by Sir Alec Guinness the above line is but one of several memorable quotes from the 1977 cult hit Star Wars.

Over a month ago there was a post where some anonymous commenter attempted to use the film as a way of comparing the cast of characters to certain figures in Aurora. Here is that post: http://evelynmbuck.blogspot.ca/2013/01/truth-is-stranger-than-fiction.html

The commenter obviously overlooked which Auroran would most likely will be cast in J.J. Abrams 2015 continuation of the cult saga and that of course is Aurora/Newmarket real estate mogul Mike Bishop. But you of course know him from his acting career on the big screen here:

Mr. Bishop presents himself as a REMAX agent and is apparently using this video as a promotional item for his professional business, evidenced by its inclusion on his website here: http://mikebishop.ca/Real_Estate_Aurora_Newmarket_Mikes_TV.html

He writes "I had a lot of fun making this. I hope you get a laugh out of it."

I certainly hope Mr. Bishop thinks is equally funny when he receives a DCMA take-down notice shortly from the legal team of Lucasfilm not to mention all the other studios he ripped off. Lucasfilm, now Disney, doesn’t react favourably to those who violate their copyrights as clearly stated here: http://starwars.com/terms/

Nor should prospective buyers and sellers of properties look favourably on someone who would blatantly steal intellectual property of others and use it for their own business pursuits.

While Mr. Bishop tries to claw his way out of the Sarlac pit of his own making here’s an interesting insight into the inspiration on the infamous title crawl :

May the force be with you, and also in Vouge.
