Weekly Inspiration : The skull is nature’s sculpture.

Starting on June 4th, 2007 Noah Scalin made a Skull-A-Day for a year.

This led to a blog now in version 7.0: http://skulladay.blogspot.ca

Along the way he has been writing some inspiring books about art and process, which can be found on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Noah-Scalin/e/B001JP0XZC

This October 17 Scalin will be showing a collection of his work titled "Natural Selection" at the Krause Gallery in NYC.

This series contains portraits of scientists and their skulls made from everyday materials.

You can view a video of the process of creating Alan Turing’s skull out of keyboard keys here:

More of Scalin’s work can be found on his website here: http://noahscalin.com/

I’m inspired.
