Hear, We Blow Again


Instead of tackling real issues like a $185,000+ deficit in their operating budget staring them in the face Mayor Dawe has reanimated the long dead and buried debate over silencing train horns in town.

In this article Dawe is quoted stating the obvious :

“To eliminate whistles there are crossing controls that need to be put in place which all come with a cost.”

A staggering cost when you look at other municipalities that have entertained this some going into the Millions of dollars.

Entertaining the notion the town is interested in going down the same track only worries me that it’s the town’s financial reserves that are going to be run over to silence the moans of few.
